Premises Manager

NJC Scale  -  SO1/SO2   (£24,892-28,922)

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Ipswich Academy occupies a new building with modern facilities which were completed in 2013.  We are seeking to appoint a Premises Manager to take responsibility for the security, maintenance and upkeep of our new Academy so our students have the best possible environment for learning.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated to do their best for our school and its extended community and be able to work on their own initiative and manage our dedicated cleaners and Premises Assistants.  Strong communication skills allied to the ability to plan in detail and operate the many technical systems of the building will be a requirement of the post.  The successful applicant would ideally have experience of site management, team leading and be able to oversee aspects of Health & Safety, some practical experience in basic maintenance skills would also be useful. 

The role is full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year with shift patterns to be agreed and managed by the postholder, but could include weekend working.  A flexible approach to working hours would also be required. Candidates must also be able to work additional hours as required, for which extra payment will be made but throughout a sense of humour is indispensable as well as a calm and professional manner.

Inclusion Administrator

NJC Scale 4  -  Point 18-21 (£17,333-19,317 pro rata) 37 hours per week, 40 weeks

We have a vacancy for an Inclusion Administrator to join our Inclusion Team.

The post is responsible for admin support and information requirements within the Additional Educational Needs area.  The post holder will report to the SENCO on a daily basis and be part of the Academy Inclusion team.

Main tasks include organising and undertaking clerical and administrative duties in a range of areas, oversight of information, data management including SEN student records, use of information gathering processes, initial liaison with outside agencies and preparation of reports.

This post will be subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure.
